Property Lenz needed a mobile application to streamline property management, inspections, and tenant relations. The main requirement was to keep the app detailed and user-friendly for both Android and iOS platforms.

The main goal was to maintain digital records of inspections for both tenants and landlords. A platform that promotes trust, protects tenant rights, and strengthens landlord-tenant relationships.

Development Process

The first step was to understand the client’s needs in detail. Coder Lab conducted several meetings with Property Lenz to gather all necessary information about the desired features and functionalities of the app. Our project management team created a detailed project plan outlining the app’s requirements.

Design and Prototyping

The initial phase was dedicated to designing wireframes and mockups to know what the app would look like and how the user interface would turn out. Our designers make sure that all the best UX practices are implemented so that the app can easily be used by a non-technical person. We also took constant feedback from Property Lenz and incorporated their ideas to refine the design.

Development

Coder Lab used React Native, a popular framework for building cross-platform apps, allowing them to develop both Android and iOS versions from a single codebase. They also used real-time databases, authentication, and cloud storage to keep the app secured and efficient. Our development team worked in sprints, focusing on each feature one by one.

Testing

Unit Testing: Each component of the app was tested individually to check if it worked correctly.

Integration Testing: Our team tested the entire app thoroughly to make sure all components worked together seamlessly.

User Acceptance Testing: We let the stakeholders test the beta version of the app so that they can judge if the app meets their expectations. Later on, that feedback was used to make final changes.

Results

Property Lenz users reported a significant reduction in the time taken for property inspections and tenant management. The app also received positive feedback from property managers and tenants on the app’s ease of use and useful features.
